Kathmandu. The meeting of the Council of Ministers scheduled for 10 o’clock has been postponed. The meeting of the Council of Ministers has been postponed after the ministers expressed their disagreement in the Nepali Congress.

President Rap Chandra Poudel is scheduled to present the government’s policies and programs in both houses of parliament at 3 o’clock today. The policies and programs were to be passed and the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed Minister of State Kham Bahadur Garbuja was to be held.

Both programs have been postponed, according to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s secretariat. Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has warned that the government will be toppled if the person he has named is not appointed as the governor, citing the delay in the appointment of the governor.

The Nepali Congress has become more skeptical about the appointment of the governor after appointing former governor Mahaprasad Adhikari to the governor recommendation committee. It is expected that the government will fall after the Nepali Congress sought a share in the appointments to the Election Commission and the National Bank. It is understood that Friday’s cabinet meeting was also postponed at the direction of the Nepali Congress.
