Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Maya Prasad Sharma has said that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year has ignored the status of implementation of the 16th five-year periodic plan and the previous budget.
Sharma made the remarks while participating in a discussion on the budget in the National Assembly meeting on Thursday. He accused the government of encouraging the private sector and ignoring the government and cooperative sector for taking cooperatives, government and private sectors equally in the three-pillar economic policy.
Stating that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year has encouraged the private sector but the neglected sector has been discouraged, he said good governance, social justice and economic prosperity have been neglected in the budget.
“The budget ignores the 16th five-year plan and the status of implementation of the previous budget,” he said. Cooperatives, government and private sectors should be taken equally in the three-pillar economy. The private sector has been encouraged. The government and cooperative sectors have been neglected. Although the private sector is encouraged by the budget, the neglected community seems to be discouraged. Good governance, social justice and prosperity seem to have disappeared. There is an imbalance between the rich, the middle and the backward regions. The balance of the federal and local levels is also in crisis. The speech is good, the distribution seems biased. Budget implementation seems to be going to zero. ’
