The 8th Chamber Expo will be held from Magh 17

Kathmandu. The eighth edition of the Chamber Expo, organized by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, is to be held at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu from Magh 17, 2025.

It was informed at a press conference held here today that the expo will be organized with international-level software and artificial intelligence (AI) projects. Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said that the expo is being organized with the aim of promoting and marketing local products and increasing trade.

The expo is being organized in collaboration with the Trade and Export Promotion Center under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. He said that the aim of the expo is to integrate the business sector by placing special emphasis on the marketing of Nepali products.

Outgoing Chamber President Rajendra Malla emphasized that Nepal’s information technology industry should be developed as a ‘backup’ for international IT companies. Sharad Bikram Rana, Executive Director of the Trade and Export Promotion Center, emphasized that software consumed within the country should be selected on the basis of domestic production and competitiveness.

Expo Committee President Rashtrabhushan Chakubji said that the expo will help to closely monitor the economic activities taking place in the international sector, the use of technology and new dimensions of business management. Chamber of Commerce Information Technology Committee President Vigyan Shrestha said that IT products have been given high priority in the expo this time.

Like in the past, this year too, agricultural products, handicrafts, textiles, automobiles, electrical appliances, home appliances, fabrics, furniture, garments, leather goods, jewelry, cosmetics, food and dairy products will be exhibited at the expo.

The expo will also exhibit products produced in countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, India, China, Thailand, UAE, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan. The organizers expect at least 50,000 visitors to view the expo, which will have a total of more than 125 stalls.
