Kathmandu. The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Nepal and the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) jointly organized the ‘Tech Peak Nepal: Orlando 2025’ technology conference in Orlando, USA and Emerge America Miami.
On that occasion, AmCham Nepal participated in the ‘Shared Services and Outsourcing Week (SSOW) Conference 2025’, the largest gathering in the outsourcing sector, and Emerge America organized in Miami to bring Nepali IT and ITES companies to the international stage.
AmCham stated that representatives from seven different companies participated in the total 11-member Nepali delegation. In which Nepal was presented as an emerging destination for IT outsourcing by directly contacting large American companies including PwC, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, SAP.
AmCham Nepal stated that the conference aims to introduce the potential of Nepal’s IT sector to the world and connect American companies with Nepali companies. AI Innovation’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) James Donovan said that most of the participants at the exhibition viewed the Nepali delegation as a strategic partner. He also praised the skills, capabilities and talents displayed by Nepali companies.
Ajit Bikram Shah, Founding President of MCHAM Nepal and Head of CNI IT Council and leader of the delegation, emphasized that Nepal can become a hub for BPO, KPO, IT, ITES and other industries.
He said, ‘This program has shown that Nepal can become a base for exporting services to different countries of the world. Such initiatives help create more opportunities. International partnerships can be strengthened through collaboration between the private sector and the Government of Nepal. .’
AmCham Nepal President Nirmal Kaji Shrestha said that the collaboration between AmCham Nepal and the Federation has established a new dimension in the information technology sector of Nepal. He expressed confidence that the opportunities created by this roadshow will open doors for more investment and collaboration in Nepal and make Nepal a major destination for outsourcing.
At the exhibition, the Nepali delegation met with senior officials of various multinational companies and discussed the potential of Nepal’s information technology industry. Tech Peak Nepal, which started in 2024, is working as a platform to strengthen the overall economic growth of the information technology sector.
AmCham says that it is playing a significant role in establishing Nepal as an ICT partner for inclusive economic growth. The conference was attended by representatives from 60 countries. Important meetings were held with Derek Emfrey of the Orlando Economic Partnership and officials from the Florida State Government at the exhibition.
TJ Villamil, Commercial Head of Emerge America, invited the Nepali team as observers. Amir Thapa, General Manager of MICHAM Nepal, thanked all the participants and said that more effective steps would be taken to promote the Nepali information technology industry.
‘In the coming days, MICHAM will provide such opportunities, it is also an opportunity for economic prosperity,’ he said.
