‘Teachers should leave politics and focus on teaching’

Dhanusha. Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has said that the state of education in the province is worrisome. At the National Education Conference organized by the Madhesh Province Government and Ministry of Education and Culture in Janakpurdham today, Chief Minister Singh said that the federal government will also have an equal role in providing quality education services.

He said that it is necessary for teachers of the province to be dedicated, accountable and loyal to the people and perform their duties. Minister for Education and Culture Rani Kumari Sharma Tiwari urged teachers to leave politics and teach if they are honest about their profession. Provincial Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development Saroj Kumar Yadav said that teachers and parents are largely responsible for the decline in the standard of education in Madhes.

Provincial Minister for Labor and Transport Kaushal Kishor Raya expressed the view that the improvement of education in Madhes will not be possible with the sole efforts of the provincial government and expressed the view that all three levels of government should work together.

Speakers including Dr. Sohan Sah, Vice Chairman of the Policy and Planning Commission of Madhes Province, Dilip Thakur, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and Kanchan Bichha, parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and member of the Provincial Assembly, delivered their views at the program.

A significant number of principals, education officers, secretaries, directors, experts and stakeholders from across Madhes Province participated in the program. There is participation. On that occasion, five working papers were presented by the concerned experts.
