Kathmandu. Teachers have taken out a whistle rally demanding the promulgation of the School Education Act. Teachers, who have been protesting in Kathmandu for the past few days, today took out a whistle rally in Maitighar, Kathmandu.
They have drawn the attention of the government by blowing whistles from Maitighar in Kathmandu to Baneshwor. The teachers who have been present in Kathmandu at the call of the Nepal Teachers Federation have warned that they will go on an academic strike if the government does not fulfill their demands by Chaitra 25.
Teachers across the country have been continuously protesting under the leadership of the Federation since Magh 20, 2081, demanding the promulgation of a quality school education, student- and teacher-staff-friendly school education act.
