Taplejung residents allege that Mahato, who went with those who had come from different districts to protest the cable car being built for the development of the district, has disrupted the peace and security of the district and has also divided the society.

Mahato, along with the ‘No Cable Car’ group, raised the slogan ‘Jai Pathibhara Mata’ in the holy pilgrimage site of Pathibhara area. Local Sundar Limbu said that he was shown a black flag because he was shouting slogans of death and making statements that divided the district and society instead of going out.

Limbu also urged everyone not to go outside the district and oppose development and divide society, as the citizens of Taplejung are in favor of development and the cable car.
