Supreme Court refuses to release Rabi Lamichhane

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has also refused to release RASP President Rabi Lamichhane from jail. A division bench of Justices Bal Krishna Dhakal and Nahakul Subedi upheld the high court’s order to keep Lamichhane in custody. The High Court, Tulsipur, had ordered lamichhane to be kept in custody after paying bail in the cooperative fraud case.

Rabi’s wife Nikita had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court today ruled that there was no reasonable reason not to keep Rabi in custody.

The RSSWP has accused Rabi of political vendetta.
