Kathmandu. The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered that the interim order issued earlier to stop the construction of cable car at Pathibhara in Taplejung should not be continued.

A division bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Abdul Aziz Musalman passed the order.

Following a preliminary hearing on a writ petition filed by Yam Bahadur Limbu and others seeking to stop the construction of Pathibhara Kewalkar in March last year, the Supreme Court had ordered to keep all the works in the status quo till the finalization of the interim order.

A division bench of Justice Sharanga Subedi then summoned both the parties to discuss whether to issue an interim order or not. A division bench of Dr Nahakul Subedi and Abdul Aziz Musalman said there was no need to pass an interim order.

With this order, the way has now been cleared to proceed with the construction of cable car. With the investment of IME Group, the construction of cable car in Pathibhara was going on.
