Suez Canal’s monthly loss estimated at $800 million

Agency. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said that Egypt is suffering a monthly loss in Suez Canal revenues due to the situation in the region. He said that it is estimated at 800 million US dollars.

Sisi made the remarks at the annual Ramadan Iftar dinner hosted by the armed forces, according to the Egyptian presidential office. The Egyptian president confirmed that the Egyptian economy is showing positive indicators, pointing to the recent approval of the International Monetary Fund to distribute a new tranche to Egypt.
