Subcommittee submits report on Pokhara International Airport

Kathmandu. The subcommittee formed to study the irregularities at Pokhara International Airport has submitted its report to the parliamentary committee.

Today, at the Shankar Hall of the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, the subcommittee coordinator Rajendra Prasad Lingden submitted the report to the coordinator of the Public Accounts Committee, Hrishikesh Pokharel, informed Ekram Giri, secretary of the committee and spokesperson (joint secretary) of the Parliament Secretariat.

Receiving the report, committee chairman Pokharel said that the full report would be discussed in the next meeting of the committee. The Public Accounts Committee, led by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman and MP Lingden, formed a subcommittee about a year ago to investigate irregularities at Pokhara Airport.

The subcommittee has submitted its report with its conclusions and suggestions to the committee chairman, said Lingden, the coordinator of the subcommittee. According to him, the subcommittee formed to study the irregularities and complaints related to corruption at the airport has drawn six conclusions in a 38-page report after on-site monitoring, interaction and discussion, and document study.

The said subcommittee includes MPs Janardan Sharma, Gokul Prasad Baskota, Amanlal Modi, Arjun Narsingh KC, Prem Bahadur Ale, Ramkrishna Yadav, Tara Lama, Dev Prasad Timilsena, Deepak Giri, and Rukmani Rana.
