Study committee formed to improve problems seen in Airlines Corporation

Kathmandu. A subcommittee has been formed under the coordination of Shishir Khanal to study the problems and improvement measures seen in Nepal Airlines Corporation and submit a report to the committee within a month. The meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee held at Singha Durbar on Thursday formed a 4-member subcommittee under the coordination of Khanal.

The subcommittee, including Khanal, Tshiring Lhamu Lama, Yogash Gauchan Thakali, and Sunita Baral, has been formed. Informing about the decisions of the committee, committee chairman Rajkishore Yadav said that the Nepal Airlines Corporation Study Committee will submit a report within a month. Chairman Yadav said that a subcommittee will be formed regarding CAN from the upcoming meeting.

The committee has directed to formulate an implementable action plan as soon as possible to improve the overall policy, structural and managerial aspects of the ministry for the greater development of the three sectors of culture, tourism and civil aviation and to inform the committee about it.

It has been directed to intensify the construction of ethnic and religious museums in Nepal and emphasize the promotion of tourism to protect various ethnic groups, languages, religions and cultural heritage. The Ministry of Tourism has also been directed to study the achievements and effectiveness of various projects and agencies operating under the public-private partnership model under the ministry and provide information to the committee, to make the archaeological heritage excavation work regular, economical and result-oriented and to emphasize on the performance of the work, and to enter into agreements, coordination and take initiatives between the relevant agencies for the regular operation of Bhairahawa and Pokhara International Airports.

The committee has directed the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to fully implement the business plan of Nepal Airlines Corporation and submit its progress to the committee from time to time and to expedite the construction of the Nijgadh International Airport, which is urgently needed from the perspective of national importance, security and economic development. Similarly, it has been directed to prepare a political action plan including a marketing plan for the promotion of the tourism sector as soon as possible and provide information about it to the committee.

The committee has directed to prepare a plan for the utilization of land and physical resources owned by the Nepal Airlines Corporation in various districts of the country, implement it as soon as possible and provide information about it to the committee.
