Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that protecting the constitution and strengthening the federal democratic republican system of governance is today’s national agenda. He said this while addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day.
He said that the Government of Nepal, under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is committed to protecting the constitution and strengthening the federal democratic republican system of governance. He informed that through the federal democratic republican system of governance, the country has firmly moved forward in the direction of establishing sustainable peace in the country as envisioned by the constitution, establishing peace in the country, and advancing the journey of development and prosperity in the country.
He called for unity and joining hands in nation building. He said that it is necessary to move forward while maintaining national unity, prosperity and harmony in the society. He informed that it is necessary to make the sacrifices of the martyrs meaningful by protecting democracy.
Home Minister Lekhak said that it is everyone’s duty to continue on the path shown by the martyrs and strengthen the path of good governance, stability and prosperity. He informed that he is continuously working to ensure the security of the citizens and establish peace, stability and rule of law in the country.
