Stock market declines by modest percentage points, trading volume hits 6 billion

Kathmandu. The stock market has declined by a modest percentage on the fourth trading day of the week. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed down by 0.33 points to 2600.20 points.

On Wednesday, 137,59,604 shares of 311 companies were bought and sold, generating a turnover of Rs 5,942,252,256.

On Wednesday, while the share prices of 112 companies increased, the share prices of 134 companies decreased, while the price of 1 company remained stable.

On Wednesday, the share of Butwal Power Company was the most traded. The company has raised Rs 539.4 million, while the company’s share price is Rs 842 per share.

Also, on Wednesday, Modi Energy’s share price entered a positive circuit, while Joshi Hydropower’s share price fell by 9.51 percent.
