Kathmandu. Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that corruption has crossed the border in the country. Wishing a happy new year 2082, he said that corruption has crossed the border in Nepal through a video message.

Expressing his sadness over the violence that took place on Chait 15, Shah said that there is no greater system and issue than the freedom of citizens. Stating that corruption has increased in the country, youth and capital flight have increased, he said that now the youth should be stopped at home. He also demanded a constitutional monarchy through a video message. He said, “The awareness that has arisen to free the country from the existing complications and make it peaceful, stable, and prosperous has increased the belief that the Nepali people will achieve the desired results in the new year 2082. We have always believed in the multi-party system and the tradition of constitutional monarchy to avoid the unrest, violence, and discontent prevailing in the country.”

Gyanendra has urged us to move forward by respecting the wishes of the people. He has asked, “What would be the point of including the divine wisdom of the nation-builder, His Majesty the King, in the main mantra of the state power now?”
