Kathmandu. Eighteen people on board a Saurya Air 9N AME plane have died after it crashed while departing from Kathmandu for Pokhara. The plane fell into a ditch on the east side of the Tribhuvan International Airport’s runway during takeoff. 
The bodies of the 18 people on board the plane were found scattered all over the place, informed Senior Superintendent of Police Dambar BK, who was deployed for airport security.
He said that preparations are now being made to take the collected bodies to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. According to Superintendent of Police BK, one of the crew members of the plane has been rescued alive.
The plane was heading to Pokhara carrying employees and technicians of Sourya Air for maintenance when it crashed.
