Rajendra Mahat, an employee of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, informed that there was snowfall in the Pathibhara area along with normal rainfall and it had snowed twice before last Poush and Magh.
The cold weather has increased in Pathibhara, which is located at an altitude of 3,794 meters, with snowfall in the area. Prajin Hangbang, executive director of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, said that the arrival of domestic religious tourists to Pathibhara increases every year after snowfall.
Due to lack of sufficient rainfall in winter this year, crops have not been able to flourish. Locals have said that winter crops including wheat, barley, and potatoes have not been able to flourish due to the lack of rain.
