Kathmandu. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has said that there is a need for skilled technicians and quality education to establish a strong economy. He said that producing skilled technicians would help in creating self-employment in the country and also help in import substitution.

Addressing the 37th anniversary of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training-CTEVT today, he emphasized the need to produce skilled technicians through skilled education and technology transfer. Noting that even highly educated youth are going abroad for employment, he also mentioned that if vocational and technical education can be provided along with theoretical education, this will be reduced.
