The stone park is being built by carving artistic figures on stones after organizing the area covered with garbage and bushes. Bhairav Angla, manager of the Dhunge Art Park construction project, informed that the construction of Dhunge Park has been started to develop a model of labor culture by reflecting local art culture. ‘It was a place that made you feel bored when you saw the bushes and bushes. This place has been made a place for domestic and foreign tourists to visit,’ he said.

There are dozens of parks built by labor donations under the leadership of Dharan Mayor Hark Sampang Rai. The construction of Dhunge Park has been started with the idea of making Dharan an even better tourist destination. Various organizations and donors are supporting the construction of the park. Currently, eight sculptors from Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Morang and Sunsari are making sculptures in the park. The park built with labor donations will attract domestic and foreign tourists to Dharan and promote tourism, said Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-4 Ward Chairman Dhan Bahadur Rai.

This park has carved figures of living people. Which is historically and culturally important, said Ward Chairman Rai. The park has carved figures of dozens of people including Dr. Sanduk Ruit, Kulman Ghising, Mahabir Pun, and figures reflecting local art and culture. Anand Rai, a local of Khairainitar, informed that tourists visiting the stone art park will introduce this place to the country and abroad. Before the construction of the park is completed, various figures made of stone have already started attracting the attention of tourists. Local Rai said that currently more than 100 tourists are visiting daily.

In this park, the Independent Civil Society (Max Team) has constructed a 16-foot-tall pillar number 4 of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-4 with labor donations. Megh Bahadur Rai of the Independent Civil Society said that the pillar was constructed to add attraction to the stone park being built with labor donations.
