Bajura. The District Disaster Management Committee is going to hand over the second installment to the municipality for the construction of houses for the earthquake victims. According to Chief District Officer and Chairman of the Disaster Management Committee, Meghnath Padhya, it has been decided to distribute the amount received from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the municipality.
According to him, the amount will be provided to 1,473 earthquake victims. He said that the amount has not been received for the earthquake victims of Himali and Jaganna rural municipalities among the nine municipalities in the district as the data of the earthquake victims has not been updated. He said that 2.825 million rupees have been handed over to Triveni Municipality, 8.6 million rupees to Budhiganga Rural Municipality and 1.35 million rupees to Budhi Nanda Municipality. In addition, a total of Rs 1.375 million has been received in Gaumul Rural Municipality, Rs 2.475 million in Khaptad Chhede Daha and Rs 2.25 million in Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality, for a total of Rs 3.6825 million.
He said that the amount has also been received for those affected by the monsoon disaster. The District Administration Office, Bajura, has stated that preparations are being made to send the amount to Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Triveni Municipality, Gaumul Rural Municipality and other municipalities affected by the monsoon disaster.
