Banke. The under-construction building of Ganesh Secondary School at Dhakeri of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-9 has been left incomplete due to lack of adequate budget. Chairman of the School Management Committee, Hari Prasad Regmi, said that the construction of the two-room building was started at a cost of Rs 2 million by the Lumbini province government.
“Due to lack of classrooms, the work was started with the help of the state government, but due to lack of adequate funds, the construction of the building could not be completed,” regmi said. Currently, 440 students are studying in this school.
Sohan Lal Tharu, ward chair of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-9, said they are active to free the children from the compulsion of studying under tin roofs in the Tarai summer. He said that he was working with donors and government agencies to arrange the necessary funds to complete the building.
