Rs 18.61 billion allocated for Ministry of Forest and Environment

Kathmandu. Rs 18.61 billion has been allocated for the Ministry of Forest and Environment. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said this during the budget speech for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

According to him, awareness campaigns will be conducted at the community level for the prevention and awareness of forest fires. He said that information would be given to bring the perpetrators of the fire under the purview of the law and the individuals and communities would be rewarded for their contribution in extinguishing the fire.
