Kathmandu. The government has allocated Rs 18.5 billion for post-disaster reconstruction. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said this during the budget speech for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
The damage will be minimized by developing a disaster forecasting system. Emphasis will be laid on capacity building of human resources involved in disaster management and response and adoption of safe technologies.
Private houses, schools, public infrastructures, archaeological and cultural heritages damaged by earthquake and monsoon-related disasters will be reconstructed.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, in his budget speech for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS, said the institutional capacity would be enhanced by restructuring the Nepal Stock Exchange.
