Rs 11.76 billion spent on agriculture subsidy

Kathmandu. According to the survey for the fiscal year 2081/82, Rs 11.76 billion has been spent on agricultural subsidy. A budget of Rs 11.76 billion has been spent for the grant till Mid-February of the current fiscal year.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel presented the economic survey in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

In the last fiscal year, Rs 36.13 billion was allocated for agriculture subsidy. Of this, Rs 29.31 billion was spent, according to the Economic Survey. According to the economic survey, Rs 2.25 billion has been allocated for sugarcane promotion expenses to sugarcane farmers in the current fiscal year.
