Rs 1 billion citizen health treatment fund to be set up in Jaimini municipality

Baglung. Jaimini Municipality has set up ‘Jaimini Citizen Health Treatment Fund’ with the goal of creating a fund of One billion rupees. Rs 50 lakh has been deposited in the fund.  The amount deposited in the fund will be spent on the treatment of patients in the municipality area from the interest.

“The municipality aims to help the citizens in the treatment of chronic diseases and diseases that cost a large amount of money. If Rs 1 billion is deposited in the fund, the citizens of the city can be provided free treatment. The municipality has adopted a policy to add funds to the fund every year through policies and programmes,” said Mayor Nar Bahadur Pun. According to him, the target is to increase the fund to Rs 1 billion as it costs a lot for the treatment of complex diseases including cancer, heart and kidney.
