Kathmandu. The government has said it will complete the remaining works related to the peace process and transitional justice.
The government has said that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission for Investigation of Disappeared Persons will be made functional.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, in his budget speech for the upcoming fiscal year, said arrangements would be made to provide free treatment to the injured disabled and disabled in government hospitals.
He said rs 1 billion has been allocated to set up a fund for investigation, relief and compensation of incidents of armed conflict.
Maximum use of information technology will be made to make the justice system simple, easy, accessible, quick and effective. He said a targeted class-centric free legal aid programme would be launched to establish equal access to justice for all.
He said that an electronic attorney’s programme would be launched to enhance the quality and capacity of advocacy in government cases.
