Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahai Prasad Yadav has said that it is a good thing for Nepal Scouts to mobilize youths of scouts to free the youths from drug abuse.
He said this while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 74th Foundation Day of Nepal Scouts in Kathmandu on Thursday. He said that playing an important role in disaster management and rescue operations in the country is a step in line with the great objectives and goals adopted by the organization.
Nepal Scout said that it is necessary to further refine, refine, develop, organize and imbibe the principles of inclusivity to move forward representing geography, class and society in all regions. He said that the formation of skilled disaster management teams in the country and mobilization for disaster rescue has proved that this principle has been implemented to some extent.
Scouts being active in the campaign against drug abuse in the country in recent times is another positive aspect, he said.
He said that the campaign against violence against women, adolescent health awareness, women entrepreneurship and women’s leadership development have also been given priority.

On the occasion, Vice President Yadav said that making the youth more active in social service, disaster management and rescue operations should be an important goal of scouts. He said that it is a matter of happiness that more than 50,000 youth scouts have been mobilized as volunteers in 2081-82 under the Youth Volunteer Mobilization.
Nepal Scouts stressed the need to give priority to programmes such as natural disaster management, prevention of drug abuse, campaign against violence against women, adolescent health awareness and promotion of women entrepreneurship.
