Road connecting Baglung and Jaimini municipalities to be blacktopped for Rs 35 million

Baglung. Three roads in Jaimini Municipality are currently being blacktopped. Two roads leading to the municipality centre are being blacktopped while the road from Kushmisera to Sakurwa-Byathala has reached the final stage of blacktopping.

The length of all the three roads to be blacktopped is only five kilometers. The cost of all the three roads is Rs 81.8 million. According to Jaimini Municipality, three roads are being blacktopped simultaneously in partnership with the federal government and the state government. A one-km road connecting Baglung and Jaimini municipalities is being blacktopped at a cost of Rs 12.66 7 million.

Baglung-12 Amlachaur and Jaimini-1 Kushsira border have been blacktopped after upgrading the one-km road. Once the road is blacktopped, it will be possible to reach baglung market directly through Kushmisera pucca road. Except for this place under Kushmisera section from Baglung Bazaar, blacktopping had been done elsewhere.

Gandaki State government, Baglung municipality and Jaimini municipality had signed the contract for upgrading the road in March 2080. Deputy Mayor Harihar Sharma said that the road from Kaligandaki Corridor of Jaiminidham of Jaimini Municipality-1 to Kushmisera, the center of the municipality, is being blacktopped.

One-km road has been blacktopped and another one km has reached the blacktopping stage to connect it with Kushmisera National Highway, the center of Jaimini Municipality. The kaligandaki corridor is preparing to be blacktopped even after the completion of about one kilometer of the first section of the first section from Jaiminidham. The construction company is blacktopping the road at a cost of Rs 32 million.

Similarly, preparations are underway to blacktop the two-kilometre road from Kushmisera to Badthal road via Sakurwa in partnership with the federal, provincial and local levels. Ministry of Supplementary and Urban Development of Jaimini and Gandaki

According to Deputy Mayor Sharma, the road has reached the stage of blacktopping with the upgradation of the road at a cost of Rs 37.2 million. Deputy Mayor Sharma said, “Five kilometers of the takuri section of the Sarangi-Jaimini road, two kilometers from the corridor, two kilometers from Kushmisera and two kilometers from Kushmisera to Maulachh will be blacktopped by Mid-June.

All the three roads have been blacktopped after widening, sloping in waterlogged areas, constructing drains and installing gabion nets at necessary places.
