Chitwan. The rhino census, which is held every five years, will not be held this year due to financial constraints. The census was conducted with the help of donors, but this year it has been stopped due to lack of assistance, said Ram Chandra Kandel, Director General of the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation.

The government has not made any budget arrangements to keep regular records of rhinos. Even if the census cannot be conducted this year, the status of each rhino will be identified through the park’s post based on the signs.
