Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that it would be easier to control the leakage of revenue with the passage of the Customs Bill- 2080 BS. He said this while replying to the queries raised by lawmakers on the proposal to consider the Customs Bill, 2080, received with a message from the House of Representatives in the National Assembly meeting on Monday.
He said that with the passage of the bill and implementation, it would contribute a lot to making the customs system transparent and reliable and facilitating international trade.
Thanking the lawmakers for stressing on the necessity and inevitability of the bill, he said that the process of customs bill, 2080 has been forwarded with the objective of amending and integrating the existing laws related to customs.
Deputy Prime Minister Poudel said, “He has stressed on the necessity and inevitability of this bill. That is why the process of the Customs Bill, 2080 has been forwarded with the objective of amending and integrating the existing laws related to this customs. The bill has also been discussed with experts and experts. Efforts have been made to incorporate international good practices. ’
Finance Minister Poudel claimed that many problems in customs administration and revenue mobilization would be solved once the bill is passed and implemented.
