Kathmandu. CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that regressive forces are trying to raise their heads in the country. He said this while addressing a program of the sports federation close to the party in Kathmandu on Monday.

He insisted that although attempts are being made to revive the king who has become history, it is not possible. He asked what sacrifices, penances, and contributions has the former King Shah made? Chairman Nepal says that history cannot be turned back. He said that Nepali society cannot return to the era of feudalism.

President Nepal said, ‘Regressive forces are trying to raise their heads in our country. They are trying to revive the king who has become history. Which is not possible. Because of what sacrifices, because of what penances, because of what contributions? What role did they play in building the country, because they oppressed? Because they imposed autocracy? Because they ruled by dynasty, because they plunged the country into poverty and unemployment? Why? They are not seen to have done good work. Rewarding those who do bad things is unacceptable. Do not be misled by anyone, understand the truth and facts. History cannot go back. Now the world and Nepali society cannot return to the era of feudalism. No one wants to become a slave of any family. No one wants to serve the country of any family.’

President Nepal asked whether the children of the people should be allowed to become the president of the country.
