Real estate transactions increased in December, revenue collected at Rs 4.25 billion

Kathmandu. Real estate transactions, which have been sluggish for a long time, are gradually returning to normal. According to data released by the Department of Land Management and Records, 5,178 transfers of title have been made across the country by the month of Poush of the current fiscal year.

A total of Rs 4.25 billion 22 lakh 21 thousand 779 have been collected from land revenue offices across the country through real estate transactions in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Which is 1.47 billion 8 thousand 249 rupees or 32.66 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In the same period of the previous fiscal year, such revenue was collected at 3.20 billion 52 lakh 13 thousand 530 rupees.

Land Revenue Office Lagankhel, Lalitpur has collected the highest revenue in the month of Push. The office has collected Rs 409.442 crore in revenue in 6 months.

The second highest revenue-collecting office is Bhaktapur, which has collected Rs 297.61 crore in revenue till Poush.

Similarly, Rs 229.380 crore has been collected from Chavahil, Rs 219.371 crore from Kalanki, and Rs 219.999 crore from Dilli Bazaar.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, 48,156 real estate transactions (deeds) have been approved by Land Revenue Offices across the country, which is 2,881 more than the same period of the previous fiscal year, or 6.36 percent more. The Land Revenue Office in Inaruwa, Sunsari, which handles most real estate transactions, is located in Inaruwa. Inaruwa has approved 1,867 land deeds by the month of Poush. Similarly, the Land Revenue Office in Belwari, Morang is in second place. The office has passed 1,632 land deeds.
