Kathmandu. Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) President Ravi Singh has said that the construction sector has not come as expected. He said this while talking to media persons in the federal parliament premises. He said that the budget has come as a regular one.
Stating that it would be better if the capital expenditure of 20 percent of the development budget is implemented, he said that it should be supported if it could be implemented instead of a paper budget.
He said, “It was like a regular kind. The expectation that the construction sector would reflect the policies and programs that would cover the construction sector as a whole, nothing we thought was addressed. 20 percent of the development budget has capital expenditure, it would be better if it is made implementable. If the budget has come according to the target of implementing these schemes in two financial years in the policy and program, then the budget should be supported. ’
Chairman Singh said that some things in the construction sector could not be covered.
