Galeshwar. Ratnechaur-Jamrukkot-Bhakimli road is to be blacktopped at a cost of Rs 233.2 million. Necessary preparations are being made for this. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure has started preparations for upgradation and blacktopping under the ‘One Constituency, One Road’ programme.
Works like widening the road, construction of retaining wall and construction of drains to drain out rainwater are going on in full swing. Engineer Arun Sedhai said that the blacktopping will start in the next one or two days.
The road will be widened by nine meters and blacktopped with 7 km DBSD technology and 2 km RCC slope. “Gravel and base has been laid and now we are ready for blacktopping,” Sedhai said.
In the first phase, the target is to blacktop nine kilometers from Upallachaur to Torakhet, he said. From Ratnechaur to Upallachaur, one kilometer 300 meters blacktopped and 300 meters of road has been sloped.
