Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has sought suggestions for reforms in the banking sector. Issuing a notice on June 10, the Rastra Bank urged the task force to provide suggestions from interested organizations and individuals based on their experience and expertise by June 15.
Interested organizations and dignitaries have been requested to provide suggestions through the e-mail address of the task force [email protected] based on their experience and expertise by July 11.
- With regard to liberal but prudent banking policy regulation, risk-based effective supervision and the development of customer-friendly banking services,
- Regarding the role that the banking sector should play in making economic activity fully operational,
- Regarding steps to be taken to make credit flow effective in rural areas,
- With regard to the merger and acquisition of banks and financial institutions and suggestions for identification and solution to the problems after that (merger and post-merger),
- Regarding the role that the banking sector should play in removing Nepal from the grey list,
- the coordinating role of the central bank in capital market development.
