Ramraja Shrestha re-elected as EMSON president, Poudel reappointed as general secretary

Kathmandu. Ramraja Shrestha has been re-elected as the president of the Economic Media Society Nepal (EMSON), a joint organization of economic media operators. The seventh annual general meeting of the organization held at Thumki Resort in Kavre unanimously re-elected Shrestha as the president.

He was elected as the president of the organization representing Bizkhabar.com. Similarly, Lochan Khatiwada of Equity Nepal.com and Him Bista of Taksar Magazine have been elected as the vice-presidents of the organization.

Narayan Poudel of Singha Durbar.com has been re-elected as the general secretary of the organization, while Bishnutaruke of Arthapath.com has been elected as the secretary, Keshav Bhandari of Insurance Khabar.com as the treasurer, and Surendra Poudel of Awaaz.com as the joint secretary.

Milan Khadka, representing Artha Sansar.com, Madan Lamichhane of Awaaz.com, Ujjwal Ghimire of Mero Auto.com, and Deepak Bhatta of Hamro Artha.com have been unanimously elected as the members of the organization.

The general meeting of the organization held on Friday elected a new working committee for the next two years. EMSON has been working as a bridge between the government and the private sector for economic development in the country.

Newly elected President Ramraja Shrestha expressed confidence that he will play a supportive role in contributing to the economic development of the nation by working in the interests of financial media operators during his upcoming term.

He also informed that he will lobby the government in a policy-level manner to create an environment where the private sector can work smoothly in the current difficult situation. The organization has 27 affiliated economic media outlets.

The organization’s first working committee meeting has elected Sabin Dhamala of News Agency Nepal as the coordinator of the disciplinary committee. Bijay Phuyalal of Economic Voice.com has been elected as the coordinator of the code of conduct committee.
