Kathmandu. Acting President of Rastriya Swatantra Party Dol Prasad Aryal has said that the parliamentary committee should not monitor and visit at the end of the fiscal year. Acting President Aryal said this while speaking at the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament held at Singha Durbar on Friday.

Stating that questions have been raised on the trend of ‘Asare Tour’ in order to complete the budget in the society, he said that monitoring and tour programs should not be carried out in the month of June. Stating that the monitoring and visit should be timely and planned, he stressed the need for the committee to increase the effectiveness of the hearing process.

He said that instead of visiting, the commitments made in the previous hearing with former ambassadors and judges should be reviewed whether they have been implemented or not.

He said, “There is a debate going on in the society of asare budget. It is also a matter of concern that we have started monitoring and visiting to complete the budget as we have also reached for monitoring in June. If we have to visit, we can plan and do it in the coming year. Let’s see what we can do this year. ‘

“Let’s do the committee’s work on time. What are we going for? Where are we going? And what will be gained from it? Let’s not go anywhere at this time. Did you do what we promised to make during our tenure while hearing with the former ambassadors and judges we heard earlier? How much did you do? Let’s keep in mind what caused the problems, it will make it easier for us to have a hearing tomorrow,” he said.

He stressed the need to increase the effectiveness of the committee by focusing on the responsibilities of the committee rather than unnecessary visits at present.
