Kathmandu. The Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives has decided to investigate 48 complaints and reach a conclusion within 15 days. Chairman Hrishikesh Pokharel informed that today’s meeting of the committee has decided to form seven thematic complaint study task forces for that.
In the meeting, he said, “Within seven days, the committee secretariat will seek responses from the relevant bodies regarding all complaints and all complaints will be decided within 15 days.”
Among the complaints selected by the committee for investigation, there are six related to Nepal Telecom, five related to the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal, and six related to the Civil Aviation Authority under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Lumbini Development Fund, and Nepal Airlines Corporation.
Similarly, Nepal Scout, Nepal Television, Foreign Employment The committee secretariat has stated that there are complaints related to the Department, Ministry of Finance, the US government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the crusher industry, the Electricity Authority, Mobile Banking, the Telecommunications Authority, the Department of Health Services, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sports Council and the Ministry of Urban Development.
There are also complaints related to the return of government land, the purchase of SIM locators by the Central Bureau of Investigation, insurance and road gravel. Of the 100 complaints received since the committee was formed on 15 Baisakh 2080 BS, the subcommittee formed under the coordination of committee member Sanjay Kumar Gautam had recommended investigating only 48. The other 52 complaints are being investigated by the Authority, cases are ongoing in the court, and the allegations made in some of the complaints appear to be motivated only by incitement and prejudice, do not fall within the scope of the committee, and the truth in them is weak, according to the subcommittee members.
The meeting has also directed the subcommittee to investigate the alleged irregularities in the construction of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports to submit a report within the next 15 days.

Some members complained that the instructions given by the committee could not be implemented because the government did not pay attention to them. They stressed the need to seek information from the concerned bodies about the extent to which the instructions given by the committee have been implemented. The members suggested that if they want to benefit the country and provide relief to the citizens, the issues that have been admitted to the committee should be brought to a conclusion.
The subcommittee, coordinated by member Gautam, has also been given the responsibility of investigating 16 additional complaints received by the committee recently. RSS
