Kailali. Provincial Ayurveda Hospital Dhangadhi has been providing treatment services to patients coming to the hospital even on holidays. The hospital has been providing treatment to patients coming to the hospital for treatment of various diseases on Saturdays and other holidays.
Dr. Ramkameshwar Thakur, Medical Superintendent and Pediatrician of the Provincial Ayurveda Hospital, informed that the service has been provided on Saturdays and other holidays as well as on other holidays due to the need to provide uninterrupted service to the patients coming to the hospital for treatment.
He said, ‘A patient needs to be treated continuously. If a patient is treated with a ‘gap’ for a day in between, the patient’s wound will fester and problems will appear, making the patient uncomfortable and making the treatment difficult, due to which the service is also provided on holidays. .’
He said that considering the compulsion of patients coming from far away and returning home after leave, he has been providing services even during holidays. Dr. Thakur said that the Provincial Ayurveda Hospital currently has homeopathic, pathology, lab, X-ray, Purvakarma, Panchakarma, Shirodhara, Charasutra and treatment services for piles, fissures, fistulas, etc.
He said that the Far Western Province is lagging behind in the Ayurvedic field compared to other provinces. “I have thought of improving not only the hospital but the entire Ayurvedic sector of this province, for that the starting point is the hospital itself,” said Dr. Thakur.
He has requested the general public to come to the hospital even on any holiday, including Saturday, to avail services. It is said that there is currently one provincial Ayurveda hospital, seven district Ayurveda health centers, one zonal Ayurveda, 42 Ayurveda dispensaries and 33 citizen health service centers in the Far West Province.
