Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide concessional loans ranging from Rs 200,000 to Rs 2 million to the youth without collateral. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, in his budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS presented in the joint session of the federal parliament today, has said that concessional loans would be provided at an interest rate of Rs 200,000 to Rs 2 million without collateral on the basis of educational qualifications, business registration, skill test certificates and project proposals to make the educated youth entrepreneurial and self-employed.
In coordination with the National Youth Council, the youth above 16 years of age will be given the National Volunteer Identity Card on the basis of certain criteria. They will be made eligible through training and training and mobilised for education, health, social awareness, environmental protection, disaster rescue, relief and rehabilitation, according to the budget statement. Similarly, the government is going to increase the contribution of youth in the country’s economic, social development and service delivery.
