Promoting tourist destinations in Kaski and Lamjung

Gandaki. Kaskili Official Society is conducting activities related to the promotion of various religious tourist sites in Kaski and Lamjung districts. The society has stated that it is conducting promotional tour programs to various religious, historical, and cultural tourist sites in and around Kaski as part of its annual program.

This year, additional tourism promotion activities will be carried out by including some tourist destinations in Kaski and Lamjung districts, said the society’s president, Chandra Bahadur Subedi. This year, religious, historical, and tourist destinations include Lamjung Durbar in Gaunsahar, Lamjung, Ishaneshwor Mahadev Temple in Karaputar, Madhya Nepal Municipality, Dr. Hark Gurung Samadhisthal Park in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality, Upper Marsyangdi Powerhouse Dam Ngadi, and Jalsiddha Mahadev in Rupatal, Kaski.

##Noting that programs are being conducted annually with the aim of promoting various destinations in the tourism market through promotional tours, he said that such activities have been given priority to promote tourist destinations for economic prosperity and increase the attraction of domestic and foreign tourists.

##At a program organized in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality, Rural Municipality Chairman Arjun Gurung said that most of the tourist destinations in Lamjung are waiting for tourism promotion. Hark Gurung Samadhisthal Park Chairman Til Bahadur Gurung stressed the need for its preservation and promotion, saying that the Samadhisthal Park was built to keep his contribution alive.

##Society Secretary Mahesh Poudel expressed confidence that this program would highlight the historicity of Lamjung Durbar, the religious and cultural importance of Ishaneshwor Mahadev, as well as the diverse tourism potential of this area.
