Progress of national pride projects is not satisfactory, expenditure is only 25.70 percent

Kathmandu. The progress of national pride projects launched by the government with the aim of providing easy services to the citizens and increasing economic growth through development and construction has not been satisfactory.

Although the government has provided all kinds of means and resources, it has been found that the progress of such projects has not been as expected. Out of a total of 27 national pride projects, a total of 66.75 billion and 3 lakh rupees were allocated for 19 projects in the current fiscal year.

A total of 17.15 billion and 3.2 million rupees have been spent in the period up to the end of last month. According to which, 25.70 percent of the national pride projects have been spent during the review period.

At the beginning of the fiscal year 2068/69, 17 national pride projects were identified, and the Government of Nepal had also included successive and new projects based on need and relevance.

The number of such projects has been expanded to 27, and 19 projects are under implementation as of the fiscal year 2081-82, excluding those that have been completed and work has not begun.

In the fiscal year 2080/81, out of the net budget allocation of 60 billion 387.1 million for national pride projects, 54 billion 248.8 million were spent, resulting in a financial progress of 89.82 percent and a physical progress of 89.82 percent. The Ministry of Finance has stated that the progress is 57.50 percent.
