Produce plastic thinner than 40 microns to reduce pollution

Kathmandu. The government has decided to produce plastic thinner than 40 microns to reduce environmental pollution caused by plastic products. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said this during the budget speech for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

Import, sale, distribution and use have been banned with effect from November 1, 2019. In order to increase the quality of the existing industries, arrangements have been made to provide capital subsidy for dia replacement.
