Kathmandu. With less than half of the approved manpower employed in the Guthi Sansthan, there is a problem in service delivery. Of the 196 sanctioned posts in the institute, only 94 are currently working in the institute.
Janak Pokharel, information officer of the institute, said that there are currently 94 employees working in the contract service. According to him, 54 of them are permanent and 40 are on service contract. The institute, which has 11 offices including its head office, lacks human resources, affecting the work done by the institute for the protection, promotion and promotion of religion and culture.
Information Officer Pokharel said that there is a shortage of staff in the institute as the posts have not been filled after 2072 BS. According to him, the recruitment of employees could not be filled after the Supreme Court’s order revoked the bye-laws issued in 2075 BS to fill the posts.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, approved the bye-laws of the institute on March 14.
Administrator Shailesh Raj Kunwar informed that the institute conducted an ONM survey and sent the bye-laws to the ministry for approval. He said that the recruitment process will be started as soon as it is approved by the ministry. Preparations are underway to open two joint secretaries, 15 under-secretaries and 10 branch officers this time.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the board of directors of the institute held on May 27 has decided to set up provincial offices in Koshi and Lumbini provinces as per the federal structure.
