Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged non-governmental organizations to embark on the path of self-reliance without relying on external grants.
Inaugurating the 11th General Convention and Citizens’ Conference of the Federation of Nepalese NGOs here today, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that even though it is impossible to do everything alone in the context of globalization, production and productivity should be increased by utilizing the fertile Nepali land.
He suggested that social organizations should discuss not only failures but also successes, hopes and achievements, making it clear that no obstacle should be created in development efforts.
Recalling the context of the Sunday program of the monarchy supporters, Prime Minister Oli said, “If a rally has to be held, it should be held by foreigners.” We are not in a delicate situation where we need to keep a picture. We do not have time to engage in undemocratic, anti-system and unconstitutional things. We are on the journey of a prosperous Nepal with the idea of taking one step forward every day.’
