Prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene decreased

Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the prices of petroleum products.

The board of directors of the corporation has reduced the previous selling prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by three rupees per liter, effective from midnight today.

With the price reduction, petrol has been fixed at 157 rupees and 50 paisa per liter for the first class, 159 rupees and 160 rupees for the second class and 160 rupees for the third class.

Similarly, the prices of diesel and kerosene have been fixed at 143 rupees and 50 paisa for the first class, 145 rupees for the second class and 146 rupees for the third class, the corporation has stated. The Corporation has placed Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj in the first category, Surkhet and Dang in the second category, and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depot in the third category. The Corporation has clarified that the price adjustment has been made in the local market as well, as per the new purchase price of petroleum products received from the Indian Oil Corporation today, petrol has decreased by Rs 3.15 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.62 per liter.
