Kathmandu. On the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day 2025’, Prabhu Capital Limited has celebrated and honored the contributions of Nepali women representing various fields.
Expressing its solidarity and support for the theme of this year’s IWD, ‘For all women and girls: Rights, equality, and empowerment’, Prabhu Capital’s Managing Director, Ashish Gauchan, and Head of Operations, Basanta Upadhyay, honored Nepali women from various fields as extraordinary women who have made Nepal known at the national and international levels, appreciating their hard work and achievements.
Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day IWD is celebrated globally, which honors the achievements and contributions of women and ensures their full participation and equal opportunities in every field. The aim is to promote empowerment through access to education, employment, leadership, and to challenge discrimination and violence and promote gender equality by removing barriers.
The women honored by Prabhu Capital include Sugarika K.C. (Former Miss Nepal/Corporate Trainer/Professional MC), Sarita Gyawali (Media Personality and Entrepreneur), Manasi Agarwal (International Corporate Trainer), Palesha Govardhan (First Nepali Olympic Medalist, Taekwondo Athlete), Shreya Giri (Listed in Forbes’ 2024 Influential Young People, Founder – Happy Minds), Sangita Pandey (Entrepreneur – Mother’s Pickle), Sonika Manandhar (Tech Business Aloi) and Rambha Shrestha (N. President – Nepal Women Entrepreneurs Association, Lalitpur), who are known as inspiring women not only in Nepali society but also at the national and international levels, through hard work, progress, leadership, and innovation in their respective fields.
