Kanchanpur: Electricity supply is set to be suspended for five days in three local levels of the district. The electricity supply service from Lalpur Substation to Kaluwapur Substation will be closed from Magh 11 to 15 for the 33 kV ‘conductor upgrade’ work.
Mahendranagar Distribution Center Chief Chutun Kumar Srivastava said that the conductor upgrade work will be done to improve the irregular and low voltage electricity supply during the summer and storm season.
He said that the Nepal Electricity Authority Sudurpaschim Provincial Office in Attariya will replace the dilapidated bridges and wires through the contract process.
He said that the work will start by Falgun as it will be inconvenient to work during the summer. According to him, electricity supply will be suspended in all places in Shuklaphanta where electricity is supplied from Kaluwapur 33/11 KV substation, Sundariphanta, Domilla, Pahariya, Goje, Kumagada, Banika, Banka and other places in Ward No. 1, 2, 3 of Krishnapur Municipality, as well as in all places of Belauri Distribution Center.
According to the notice issued by the authority, electricity supply will be suspended from 9 am to 5 pm today, Friday and Monday, the 14th. Similarly, electricity supply will be suspended from 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, the 12th, Sunday, the 13th, and Tuesday, the 15th.
As the power line will be operated if the work is completed ahead of time, it has also been requested not to go near the line without information.
