Kathmandu. MP Dr. Beduram Bhusal has said that policies and programs cannot fulfill the aspirations of the people.

In today’s meeting of the National Assembly, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, participated in the discussion on the proposal to ‘Initiate discussions on the policies and programs of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2082/83, as mentioned in the address given by the Honorable President to the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on 19th Baisakh, 2082 BS’. MP Bhusal alleged that the policy is not clear about increasing employment by building a self-reliant economy at a time when youth are migrating abroad due to not being able to find employment in the country.

‘It is said to increase production. But the policy did not make it clear about increasing production, he said. “There was no policy to address the current needs and move the country forward on the path of prosperity.”

Although the policy and program say that the slogan of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’ will be implemented, MP Bhusal said that there is no basis for trust.

‘The goal of the Sixteenth Plan has not been included in the policy and program,’ he said. “There has been no attention paid to consuming minerals and mineral products. There is no mention of how to do it in the policy and program. There is no initiative in the policy and program for other economic reforms.”
