Okhaldhunga. Police have conducted cyber law classes in schools here to spread awareness among the community through students to prevent cyber crime.
Police have started teaching students from class 9 to 12. District Police Chief Madan KC said that the awareness classes on cyber crime reduction started from Jalpa Secondary School of Siddhicharan Municipality-11 will be conducted in all the municipalities of Okhaldhunga.
Bechan Adhikari, a teacher of Jalpa Secondary School, expressed the belief that the campaign would increase awareness among the students and have a positive impact on the society. He said that such campaigns would make the statement ‘police my friend’ meaningful.
Meanwhile, locals have stressed the need to conduct classes in schools in remote areas of the district. Earlier, the District Police Office had organized programmes against child marriage and drugs in various schools of the district.
